We carefully select sustainably sourced timber and transform it into handcrafted furniture designed to be lived with, loved, and passed on. Sustainably Sourced Wood
We source our timber from trusted sawmills around the world, working only with partners who share our commitment to sustainability and responsible woodland management. The trees we use are never cut down purely for production. Instead our wood comes from trees that have reached the natural end of their life cycle or have been carefully recovered from managed forests.
Our experienced artisans study each log’s growth rings to find the perfect
cutting angle, unlocking the wood’s strength and natural flow.
Each slab is firstly air dried for a minimum of 2-5 years and then kiln dried to 8-12% moisture content, which ensures its strength and stability. Every piece we craft celebrates the beauty of wood while caring for the forests it came from.

At Woodslabs, we are storytellers in wood.
Each piece begins with the wood itself which has been shaped over it's lifetime, holding its own unique marks, grain and character.
In the workshop we let the timber lead the process. Tools are expertly used with care and intention, following the grain rather than forcing it.
Nothing is rushed or overworked.
Our process ensures we keep the natural characteristics of the wood, ensuring the final result is a piece that has both lasting endurance and beauty.
Egor is an experienced carpenter, builder / lead maker and live-edge specialist with over 15 years of experience. He has a strong belief in efficiency, sustainability, and the inherent beauty of nature, particularly when it comes to live-edge and its ability to balance the environment.
The Roots Behind Woodslabs
Egor Ivoilov also runs Live-Edge Creations, a bespoke carpentry studio, delivering custom installations across the UK. Woodslabs is the natural extension of that craft.
